A TARC and sl team

I'm excited to see how far you have come with your rocket today.
If you haven't been doing so already, I would advise bringing all the materials you have, just in case you didn't complete something over the long weekend. I will be available to help.
On account of the current heatwave, I advise bringing things to stay cool to the launch tomorrow. We are in the middle of the Mojave Desert, which means the heatwave will be amplified. Please bring the following to tomorrow's launch:

  • One foldout table, per team. You need a space for you to work.
  • A foldout tent, if possible. Shade is always good at the launch site.
  • Sunscreen
  • Lots of water. Seriously.
  • Light clothing
  • A hat
  • Your rocket
  • Your toolbox
  • Money (you can purchase your motors at the launch site, if you have planned on doing so)

  • The launch site may charge a small fee ($10 or $20, I think) per team. This fee goes to the National Association of Rocketry (NAR).
  • Jann Koepke will be at the check today too, so you can ask her for more details on that.
  • Also, there are rocket parts, water, and ice cream available too.

It usually is cooler in the early morning, so I advise going to the launch site before they begin flying rockets, which is at 8 a.m. If you arrive and leave early, you won't be exposed so much to the heat.
